YMHFA – 2B CONTINUED office in Glencoe – FREE training. Target audience: School administrators, faculty and staff, parents and community members 18 years and older.
The National Council for Mental Wellbeing’s Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) course teaches how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in youth.
This free, 6-hour training gives adults who work and interact with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to children and adolescents (ages 6-18) who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
2 hours of online self-paced prework must be completed prior to the class.
Max class size: 30, lunch provided.
