May is Mental Health Awareness Month

We invite you to be part of Mental Health Awareness Month this May. Talking about mental health is not always easy, but it becomes more possible when it is visible in everyday life. At 2B CONTINUED, this month is about creating simple ways for our communities to take part, start conversations, and feel more connected.

Here are a few ways you can join us.

Display a Yard Sign

Displaying a mental health awareness yard sign is a simple and visible way to take part. These signs bring awareness into everyday spaces such as neighborhoods, farms, businesses, and schools.

When these messages are visible, they help normalize conversations and reinforce that mental health is something we can talk about. Even a small action like placing a sign can lead to meaningful conversations and increased awareness.

Yard sign pick-up opportunities make it easy to participate and share the message.

Create a Mental Health Toolbox

Join us for a creative and interactive Mental Health Toolbox Workshop for ages 10 and up, led by artist and mental health educator Rebecca Schmitz. Held at the 2B CONTINUED office in Glencoe on Wednesday, May 6, this hands-on experience combines education with creativity as participants build a personalized toolbox with practical strategies that support mental wellness. Participants create tools they can use and revisit over time.

Join Us for Lunch in Glencoe

Stop by the 2B CONTINUED office in Glencoe on Wednesday, May 6 to pick up your yard sign, grab lunch from the food truck on-site from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM, and take part in community connection and conversation. All are welcome.

Building Awareness Together

Mental Health Awareness Month helps increase understanding, reduce stigma, and encourage conversations about mental health and suicide prevention. At 2B CONTINUED, that work continues year-round through education, training, and outreach across our communities.
